Reflection - 2016 CASE ASAP National Convention

In August, the Ambassadors had the wonderful opportunity of hosting the 2016 CASE ASAP National Convention in Atlanta, GA.

Maggie King, shared her experience from the trip:

"With this being my 'newbie year' in the organization, I was debating going to conference. Thankfully, I decided to attend and had fun with my favorite people at Appalachian. During the bus ride to Atlanta was long, we all had fun summer stories to share. When we arrived, we met our colleagues from Georgia State, the other school that was co-hosting the convention with us. Their campus was only minutes away from the hotel where the conference took place. They were some of the most welcoming and joyful people I have ever met. Not only did they host the conference with us, but they were wonderful personal hosts for our group and showed us the city of Atlanta.Additionally, an older member asked me if I could present this year at conference. I was proud to represent the Ambassadors along with two other members, Alexis Williams and Amanda Woolever. Our presentation was about professionalism and how our Ambassadors program develops young professionals. We got to share our strategies with groups from around the nation. After comparing our organization with what I heard from others that presented at conference, I am so thankful for all of our unique traditions. That being said, I learned from the other students and recognized areas where we can grow as a group. I enjoyed attending the national convention and hope to be able to attend another!"
