CIVSA Conference
In January, Ambassadors returned to the CIVSA Conference hosted in Denver, Colorado! We had the opportunity to present two presentations on professionalism and who we are as Ambassadors. A great week of learning and sharing!
February called for the Membership Drive and welcoming 15 new members to our organization! We are ecstatic to have these newbies join our organization, and we can’t wait to see how much they grow in AMB!

The Ambassador Organization is excited to be welcoming our new advisor from the Admissions Department, Eric Callaway. Eric Callaway graduated from Valdosta State University (Valdosta, GA) in 2015 with a B.A. in English Literature. After graduating, Eric served his Alma Mater as an Admissions Counselor and Assistant Director in the Office of Admissions. Eric also worked in a similar capacity at Sam Houston State University (Huntsville, TX), where he served as Assistant Director of Freshman Recruitment. Eric now serves as Associate Director of Enrollment Experiences in the Office of Enrollment Management for Appalachian State University.

During her time at Appalachian, Maggie has worn quite a few hats. We asked her some questions about her Appalachian Experience, and her time as an Appalachian Student Ambassador.
Why are you an Ambassador? What motivates you to serve your University as a student representative?
"Ambassadors that attended Appalachian years ago eagerly took me on a tour and shared their home for me. My time serving in this organization is in hopes to share all the things I love about this campus with all those who visit."
